Hello, I’m Sue Harrington—a retired pharmacist turned passionate oil painter. For years, I focused on science, precision, and care for others through my work in pharmacy. I never imagined I’d one day find so much joy with a brush in my hand and a canvas in front of me.
But then I discovered the world of Alexander Art and the powerful belief of its founder, Bill Alexander: “Anyone can learn to paint.”
That message spoke straight to my heart.
I began my journey with the Alexander family as a complete beginner—no formal training, no background in art, and plenty of self-doubt. But with guidance, support, and a little courage, I learned the timeless wet-on-wet oil painting techniques that Bill shared with the world. And guess what? I became a Bill Alexander Certified Instructor.
Now I’m here to help others discover the same joy and confidence that I’ve found. Whether you’ve never picked up a brush or you’ve told yourself for years that you’re “not creative,” I want you to know:
You absolutely can learn to paint.
You don’t need a college degree. You don’t need fancy tools. You just need a little faith, a willingness to learn, and someone to show you the steps.
I’d be honored to be part of your journey. If I can do it, so can you.
