If
you have cruised recently you may have seen this fun-loving, flamboyant artist
on board teaching "Frank Clarke's Simply Painting Method" of
watercolor painting. Where in the world is Norma Rachlin!
Have
paint/brush will travel! I was asked to do the "world cruise" on
the QE2 - I had planned to rest up before hand but no, a call came with just a
shade of panic. "Norma, can you- will you please do the Baltic cruise
before hand. So Alexander painters I'm off and away and loving every minute -
"teaching the passengers to paint - I promise! They do paint and enjoy
every minute- (I make sure!)
The
news today is so very upsetting that to just be able to enjoy a few seconds of
"simply painting" is a wonderful respites. I am leaving to board the
QE2 with all the Simply Painting supplies - to be a very important activity
aboard the ship - I so enjoy & love every moment.
My
friend "Bea" who lives on board says that his cruise she plans to
forego bridge and try watercolor (if she can find a seat, that is!) It truly is
a very popular activity with me at the helm! My goal each time I cruise is not
only to make painting fun but to let each participant know it's easy to do.
How
pleased Bill Alexander would be to know we are teaching his philosophy along
with Frank Clarke's, around the world - I meet so many wonderful people that
enjoy the discovery of "simply painting."
