Amy
asked me to send you some pictures of classes, youngest painter, oldest
painter, etc. It would take up too much e-mail space so I made this
page for you instead.
Feel free to use any of these pictures you may want.
I
love growning flowers, have a huge flower garden, (no lawn) and love to
paint flowers. One of the main reasons I became a Bob Ross Instructor
was to learn how to do flowers a certain way. Then...I started
composing my own Florals and have many on DVD's. (50+) My DVD's
are not for sale to my students or anyone at this time. Perhaps after I
die someone may do something with them, for now, they are to help me in
my classes, and to leave to my grandchidren, DVD's of me talking
and painting.
Here are just a few of the classes I teach
My favorite paintings to paint: ROSES,
I love the very soft rose, that one can see through. I don't teach this
very often, inventing my own way of doing this, so just enjoy painting
them myself. They seem to sell before the paint is dry!
I
did hold a mini class last week doing these kind of roses. I wanted to
teach Jerson how to do them. When Amy gets home I hope to teach her as
well.
Jerson did a fantastic job
I also have classes in, landscape, seascape, portrait and animal. I do watercolour but don't teach it.
The
following are some of my other oil paintings, way to many to show you
all. These are just some of the classes held in the past few months
Other pictures, me painting, ribbons etc.
Mixed Portrait and Animal class, held twice a week for 3 weeks, every month
First portrait he ever did! He was impressed, as most are, at how easy the method is to learn
Her first Animal class, using same methods as for Portrait classes
Before
I got cancer, I was giving classes for as young as 4, and my oldest
student was age 82. Now I don't take any new students and am kept
giving half day classes for 3-4 days a week..
In
2006 I won everything possible in the Oil and Watercolour divisions for
all of Northern BC and Alberta. It was the last year I entered anything
into those divisions as I wanted to encourage my students to enter,
which they have and have won many ribbons themselves, Makes me feel
good when they win!
Can hold up to 12 easily. Anything over 6 I have 1 or two Assistants.
2007 picture of my Assistants and me.
We always had a lot of fun! Note: Maureen Hummel, now a ACI to the left.
Amy
asked what was my most remembered class: it would have to be when, two
years ago, I gave a class for cancer patients. It was a "feel good"
class, we took it slow, and seeing all either had chemo or were just
finished it, no one felt silly wearing the scarfs or just showing off a
bald head!
Now
that I myself have terminal cancer, I can really understand the
importance of being accepted into a group where others arn't looking at
your bald head, and how important it is to get out and have a "feel
good" day.
Okay, this is probably way to much info, so time to quit. To sum everything up...I JUST LOVE TO PAINT!!!!! I can't think of anything I would rather do in my last days than paint and teach others how to paint.
The ladies loved their roses!
